FCSAR members attend Washington Search and Rescue Conference
Five members of the Ferry County Search and Rescue Team (SAR) attended the Washington State Search and Rescue conference held near Randle, WA the week of May 11. FCSAR Members completed a variety of classes including swiftwater rescue; rescue management; helicopter rescue; rough land evacuation; tracking; GPS; mountain bikes in SAR and many other seminars.

Ferry County SAR member attending the conference included Lee Chavez, Sam Jenkins; Judy and John Grosvenor and Steve Anthes.
Ferry County Search and Rescue
is based in Ferry Country in the northeast corner of Washington state. The all-volunteer Search and Rescue Team is part of the Ferry County Sheriff's office and provides a critical service to all residents and visitors to Ferry County. Search and rescue is a life-saving skill that demands dedication, training, and specialized equipment. Approximately 20 members of the Ferry County Search and Rescue Team are trained in rural and wilderness environments and strive to be a well-prepared squad ready to respond...
